 “Maloya” rhythm 
Maloya is a musical genre and a dance typical of  Réunion Island which is located in the "Indian Ocean" Indian Ocean east of  Madagascar. It is associated with rebellion and has origins in the music of slaves on the island.

Hunter Move- Jump to the right, legs wide open imitating a hunter (hold a shield with you left arm and a spear in your right arm) 
Jump to the left, legs wide open imitating a hunter (hold a shield with you right arm and a spear in your left arm)

Diagonally move forward Chest pumping with the double step to the right X 4 counts 
Chest pumping with the double step to the left X 4counts

“Mauritian Sega” 
Sega is both national dance and musical form of Mauritius. It was introduced by African slaves during the French colonial period in 18th century. The rules of Sega dancing are quite specific. The dancers take short lateral steps with a suggestive swaying of the hips.

“Choreography notes” for the song # 1 with MO
 Soukouss Origin: 
Belgian/French Congo 1940's. Called then the African Rumba. The Rumba influence came in the 16th century with African slaves in Cuba. It's essentially a sex “pantomine” danced extremely fast with exaggerated hip movement , a sensually aggressive attitude on the part of a men and a defensive attitude on the part of women. The electrical guitar, including bass guitar remain the major lead instruments of all Soukouss. One of the hottest Soukouss lead guitar player of all time is Diblo Dibala. Congolese music fused native rhythm for the first time with Caribbean Afro-Cuban Rumba, Haitian and South American music. In the 1970's it spreads across Africa and became an influence on virtually all the style of modern African popular music. The fast Soukouss of the 80's gave birth to today's popular dance in London and Paris called N'dombolo. Song reference: Douce Isabelle, by Aurlus Mabele & Loketo, French Guinée, 1990
